Vibha Agrotech Limited (VAL) is one of the fastest growing and  professionally managed Crop Genetics and Hybrid Seed Companies in India. The company was formed in 1995, and in less than a decade the company made significant impact in planting-seed business of India, and is now moving to a further growth and expansion phase. 

The Company was founded by former researchers of International Crops Research Institute for Semi Arid Tropics (ICRISAT). The Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Government of India accorded recognition to the Company's R & D centre. VAL is using SEEDS as a technology delivery vehicle to find out solutions in eco-friendly way  for  sustainable agriculture through multi-disciplinary research programs by integrating and synergizing conventional Mendelian plant breeding, bio-chemistry, biotechnology, crop protection and production technologies to introduce definite performing proprietary hybrids. The hybrids developed by VAL are well suited for low input farming  and  complex  farming systems, environments, and down stream businesses. 

Good success was achieved by VAL in a short span as reflected from the grand reception to VAL products from farming community in India.  This provided enthusiasm for scaling up breeding programs by blending indigenous planting material with exotic germplasm for a wider array of crops carrying newer genes.

VAL has taken note of the changing scenario in the agricultural sector around the world and India, in particular after the WTO regime calling for innovative approaches for enjoying supremacy in agribusiness. The globalization effects on production of crops, emphasis on competing costs, ISO quality of products, import-export substitution and competition, modernization of production and processing of Agro based industries, need for food security, role of new genome technologies as well as information technology  have become important focus areas for tailoring VAL's inventions.

VAL has also taken special interest in the cause of national food security and nutritional security and their sustainable self-sufficiency by dedicating itself for the development of high yielding proprietary hybrids of broad array of crops.
